Snoopy has sold!

Today Snoopy went home with a new family, to take his place under their Christmas tree.   We no longer have any kittens in the home, and are not currently expecting any litters.

King Frank is a year old now, and we hope he serves as well as his Dad did for our stud male.  Queen Sweetie is retired, and will not be having more litters.  We need to have her spayed after Christmas.   Queen Patches will be the new mama cat around here, if she and King Frank get along.

A little more about ElCloud Cattery and our family

We are a small family cattery.   We breed Persians because we love our Persian cats.  It is a hobby, not our main job.   We care for our cats, maintain this website, respond to emails, and take pictures to update the website in our spare time.  We try to answer all emails as quickly as possible,  and even check our spam filters regularly in case an email goes astray.

But we do have other responsibilities and commitments, as well.  Sometimes we can’t update the website as regularly as we’d like.

We love posting pictures of our kittens, but it is a time-consuming process.  Getting a kitten to hold still in good lighting, and not blink at the flash takes time, patience, and some creativity.  Posting photos on the website takes time to crop them, make any necessary edits,  upload them, and write a post for them.

We do want to please our website readers and potential customers, but please bear in mind that this isn’t our primary business, and our time is also limited.  Have patience with us,  please.

Thank you!

Two notes about shipping kittens, and taking deposits

At this point, we do not ship our kittens.  I know many breeders do, but we prefer to see a kitten safely handed over to its new owners ourselves.  I receive many emails asking this question, so I decided to address that on our website.

We also do not take deposits on cats that are not yet born.  We do have a waiting list of people to contact (in order on the list) to see if they are interested in the kittens I currently have available.   We do take deposits to hold a kitten until delivery/pick-up, but we do not take advance deposits.  Breeding cats is too uncertain for me to be comfortable doing so.

Persian breeding is our family hobby.  We breed and raise the kittens in our own home, alongside the children we are blessed to raise.    We love each of our kittens, and want them to find good homes.

We do not plan our breedings by the calendar, but instead watch the animals for signs of readiness to breed and overall health.  We limit the number of litters females have each year, to allow for rest between litters. We can not guarantee kittens at specific times of  the year, nor can we guarantee colors or genders.

If you are interested in being on our waiting list, please email us at elcloudcattery at gmail dot com.
